I found this simple recipe in the bicycling magazine. I liked these rolls–that’s all :)
Ingredients:
- 1 pkg Active Dry Yeast
- 3 cups warm water
- 3 cups whole-wheat flour
- 1 cup high-gluten (bread) flour
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 cup dark raisins
- 1 cup golden raisins
- 1 cup walnuts
Recipe:
- Dissolve yeast in warm water
- Combine flour and salt in bowl, slowly add yeast-water & knead until dough is smooth and elastic
- Knead raisins and walnuts into the dough and knead fo 5 more minutes.
- let rise until dough double in size
- cut into 24 pieces
- place pieces on parchment paper
- let rise for 1.5h or until double in size
- bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
